Golden Eagle
(Aquila chrysaetos)

 

The Golden Eagle is a large Eagle having a wing span of up to 2.3 meters. It can be found throughout much of the Northern hemisphere where there are mountains or rugged hilly regions. In Britain its stronghold is in the Northwest of Scotland where it is uncommon. A few pairs breed in Northern England.
