Semi-palmated Plover |

The Semi-palmated Plover is the North
American counterpart of the very similar looking Ringed Plover of Europe. It
is usually found on beaches ,estuaries and edges of ponds and rivers etc. It
can be encountered throughout the USA on migration to and from its Northern
Breeding grounds.
